It wasn’t even the right plane.

A man who “lost it” after being told he had missed his flight Thursday bolted out across the airport’s tarmac, ran up the stairs to a plane, and tried to rip open the locked cabin door—to the wrong flight. The passenger was attempting to fly from Melbourne, Australia, to Adelaide but tried to break his way onto a flight to Sydney by mistake. An eyewitness, Susannah Murray, said: “We were sitting waiting to get on the flight and people went, ‘Oh my God, what is going on?’ Someone was running on the tarmac. This man was trying to get up the stairs, he was physically fighting with the staff, punching and scratching them.” A spokesperson for Jetstar—the airline the passenger was attempting to fly with—said: “This behavior is unacceptable and we have placed an immediate ban on this passenger traveling on all Jetstar and Qantas flights.”
