Police said Sunday that LAX shooting suspect Paul Ciancia told police that he acted alone, and a friend had dropped him off at the airport before the shooting. Ciancia, 23, was officially charged Saturday with murdering a federal officer and a separate charge of committing violence at an international airport. Ciancia could face the death penalty if convicted. FBI Special Agent David Bowdich said Saturday that Ciancia allegedly fatally shot TSA agent Gerardo Hernandez at point-blank range, walked away, went up an escalator to Terminal 3, and then returned to the prescreened area and began shooting again. Five people, including Ciancia, were wounded in the shooting.
