A pro-Donald Trump super PAC has vowed to spend $100 million in TV advertising over the next three weeks, a sign of recalibration in strategy after Vice President Kamala Harris’ entrance into the race. MAGA Inc. announced the plan in a memo addressed to “Interested Parties” and obtained by Politico on Monday. The group’s ads will focus on Harris’ immigration record and her time as San Francisco’s district attorney, framing her as a “soft-on-crime radical who is too dangerous for the White House,” according to the memo. “Americans might vote for a liberal, but they won’t vote for a lunatic.” According to Politico, the ads will air in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina—seven key states likely to influence the outcome of the election. The advertising blitz will coincide with the Democratic National Convention, set to run between Aug. 19 and Aug. 22 in Chicago, Illinois. In June, it was reported that MAGA Inc. had told supporters of plans for a similar $100-million summer ad spend in key battleground states after raising $70 million the previous month.
