Documents from a hack on the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee have been uploaded online by purported hacker Guccifer 2.0. The documents, published Friday evening, appear to show password lists and internal documents from the DCCC which raises money for congressional races. Guccifer 2.0 has taken credit for previous hacks on the Democratic National Committee, though some U.S. security officials say the username is a front for hackers from the Russian government. Guccifer 2.0 has not taken credit for any leaks since the publication of DNC documents. When the DCCC hack was first reported in late July, security experts said the attack shared some hallmarks of the DNC hack, including IP addresses that suggested Russia-linked attackers.
