Linda Brown, the woman who was at the center of the Brown v. Board of Education case, has died at age 76. When she was a young girl, Brown was not admitted to a public school in Topeka, Kansas, because of her race. The landmark 1954 Supreme Court case overturned Plessy v. Ferguson by desegregating public schools.
