Disney has released the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated live action-slash-CGI remake of The Lion King, the 1994 film that became the second highest-grossing film of all time. The teaser replicates the iconic opening scene of the original film, in which animals cross the Serengheti to greet the lion cub Simba. The start-studded cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, and James Earl Jones, reprising his role as Mufasa, Simba’s father. The film will be released in summer 2019.
