Talk about a good find. A diary kept by Alfred Rosenberg, a top aide to Adolf Hitler who played a central role during the Holocaust, has been miraculously uncovered in an upstate New York home. The documents, which disappeared shortly after Rosenberg's death sentencing in 1946, were rumored to have been smuggled back to the U.S. by a Nuremberg prosecutor. The diary “sheds new light on a number of important issues relating to the Third Reich's policy,” according to the U.S. Holocaust Museum. More details of the recovery expected to be announced this week.
