Ask any ‘it’ girl in Hollywood for their beauty secret, and they’ll likely point you towards Lyma. Ever since the brand launched in 2020 with its revolutionary at-home laser, celebs like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Sienna Miller, and Naomi Watts have flocked to the U.K.-based brand. In just five short years, Lyma has cemented its status as a pioneer in the luxury wellness space, leveraging science to promote beauty from the inside out. While the nearly $3000 laser remains its hero product, the brand has since launched skincare and, now, a newly revamped supplement. And if ever there were a super supplement, this $269 formula would be it.

Not only does the multifaceted formula support sleep, stress, skin, and even menopause symptoms, but now, thanks to the addition of a powerhouse 11th ingredient, it provides a full metabolic reset by mimicking the effects of exercise. This is more important than ever, given that data shows that the average American sits for a staggering six and a half hours a day.

Whether you’re simply trying to kickstart your metabolism from the comfort of your office chair or looking for a supplement to incorporate into your already active lifestyle, this everyday vitamin is just what the doctor ordered.

When it comes to packaging, the brand gets an 11/10. The 30-day supply comes housed in an impossibly chic hammered copper tin, too pretty to shuffle away in some dingy medicine cabinet. And while I was mostly interested in testing the nutraceutical (meaning it has health benefits other than nutrition) for metabolism purposes, I was pleased to know that the list of benefits was lengthy.

The formula also contains turmeric, often used as a natural anti-inflammatory aid; ashwagandha, which has been shown to lower stress hormones; and keratin to support healthy hair and nails.

“The LYMA Supplement flips on AMPK—the metabolic master switch, to induce the benefits of exercise,” notes Professor Paul Clayton, PhD of the reimagined formula. ActivAMP, a patented adaptogenic herb, works by triggering the growth of new mitochondria in skeletal muscle, optimizing glucose uptake, which enables your muscles to better convert glucose to energy. Think of it as a complete metabolic reset.

As someone who exercises regularly and has a fairly normal metabolism, that was music to my ears. Even though I don’t typically take supplements (aside from Creatine and electrolytes), I was excited to give this mega-vitamin a go and see what kind of difference it made.

About a month ago, ahead of the brand’s launch, I started taking the supplement daily before any of my workouts. I tend to alternate between pilates and weightlifting, and I’m all for maximizing results. One serving is four capsules, but they’re pretty easy to swallow. For the first week or so, I didn’t notice much of a difference. But after a month of taking them consistently, I definitely noticed a bit more pep in my step, especially during my weightlifting sessions.

The good news is that this supplement will benefit anyone, regardless of your fitness or activity level. If you’re someone who’s looking to burn fat and increase your energy production, this is it. I’ve also noticed substantially less brain fog, better sleep, and less anxiety. And if you’ve jumped on the Ozempic (or other GLP-1 medications) bandwagon, Professor Clayton says this is a must. “ActivAMP is highly recommended for anyone taking Ozempic, as it will protect the muscle loss induced by weight-loss injections (which over the long haul, carries some major health risk factors),” notes the Professor.

I’ll promise you this: All it takes is 30 days to start feeling the results. And I can officially say it’s now a mainstay in my wellness repertoire.
