The MAGAverse went into meltdown on X after CNN reported that “Trump and the GOP have reshaped America’s voter base.”

The network’s senior data reporter Harry Enten crunched the numbers live on News Central Wednesday morning and said Donald Trump “is doing his best Frank Sinatra interpretation... going my way.”

Enten showed that Trump is enjoying a +3 overall approval rating during his second term, despite being -10 with independent voters and -78 with Democrats. He said this goes against the usual playbook of winning the election after getting the independent vote, hence the Frank Sinatra “My Way” reference.

Despite tanking numbers with Democrats and being underwater with independents, MAGA’s talking heads on X were ecstatic to see Trump get positive air time on traditionally liberal CNN.

“The American people realized the truth‚” wrote the platform’s owner Elon Musk. Right wing political commentator Joey Mannarino added: “The American people understand that the past four years were unacceptable. Biden killed that party for at least a few election cycles.”

Libs of TikTok, a right-wing page focussed on ‘owning’ left wing people, added: “‘CNN: Trump and the GOP have reshaped America’s voter base.‘ Even CNN is forced to admit it!”

In the CNN segment, Enten pointed out how Trump had managed to “remake the electorate” by flipping some Democrats and Independents into Republicans.

“But look at what‘s happened in February of 2025. Look at this, Republicans. There are more Republicans in the electorate than there are Democrats. Republican plus two. So Donald Trump and the Republicans have remade the electorate. They‘ve turned some people over from being Democrats or independents to become Republicans,” Enten explained.

“New folks have entered the electorate who are more Republican leaning. And so when you combine that with the fact that Republicans are really, really behind Donald Trump, all of a sudden you get a winning recipe whereby you break the normal rules of politics and give Donald Trump that positive net approval rating when he had pretty much a consistently negative one in term number one. As I said at the beginning, he‘s copying Frank Sinatra, doing it my way,” he said.
