A 20-year-old man is presumed dead after walking into a hot spring at Yellowstone National Park on Tuesday afternoon. Park rangers have described the incident as a "probable fatality" because the man has not yet been found after hours of search and rescue efforts. Witnesses say the unidentified man walked off the boardwalk and straight into the hot spring in the Norris Geyser Basin, which is considered the hottest thermal area in the park. According to the park's website, the hot spring is probably no cooler than 199 degrees Fahrenheit. The search was still under way as of Tuesday night and the Norris Geyser Basin closed off. An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
