Baltimore police said they shot and wounded a man wearing a panda costume after he threatened to blow up a local television station with a device that later was determined to be chocolate wrapped in aluminum foil. The man, identified as 25-yearold Alex Brizzi of Howard County, Maryland, was in serious but stable condition at a hospital, police told ABC News. He was expected to survive. Brizzi entered Fox 45 studios with an object strapped to his chest that he claimed was a bomb. He then demanded that the station air what Brizzi said was evidence of a government conspiracy. He reportedly also set his car ablaze outside the building. Police responded to the scene and shots were fired after Brizzi exited the building and refused to take his hands out of his pockets, according to Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis. A bomb squad robot was used to determine the bomb was a hoax.
