The Marine Corps is set to make history by having its first female infantry officer, following her expected graduation from the service’s Infantry Officer Course, the Washington Post reported Thursday. The as-yet unidentified female lieutenant has just completed a three-week combat exercise at the end of a 13-week program. She is the first of about three dozen women who have tried to pass the course.
