Mars Food plans to tell customers to limit their consumption of its pasta sauce and macaroni and cheese to about once a week because of high salt, sugar, and fat content. Dolmio lasagna sauces and other products will now feature an "occasional" label, while others will be marked for "everyday" consumption. The company is reportedly trying to encourage a balanced diet, since many large food companies have come under fire in light of a national obesity epidemic. (The strategy doesn't include Mars' candy companies, which produce Starbursts, M&M's, and Snickers.)
