Martin Scorsese will produce and narrate a docuseries about Christian saints, airing on Fox Nation. Yes, you read that correctly. The New York Times reported on Wednesday that the eight-part docu-drama, aptly titled Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints, will run on the Fox News-adjacent streamer, telling the story of eight biblical figures, and featuring narration from the iconic filmmaker. The first four episodes of the series, which was “hosted, narrated, and executive produced” by Scorcese for Lionsgate Alternative Television, will debut in November 2024. With this deal to run The Saints on Fox Nation, Scorsese joins the ranks of celebrities like Dan Aykroyd, Rob Lowe, and Kevin Costner as having produced a series airing on the Murdoch empire’s streamer. The series was created by Matti Leshem, who recently set up an installation commemorating Israeli hostages in Gaza outside Vanity Fair’s Oscars afterparty. Scorsese has also said he has completed a feature-length screenplay about Jesus of Nazareth, according to the Los Angeles Times.
