Get ready. President Obama's most direct involvement to date with immigration-reform negotiations will take place Tuesday when he'll meet with Senator John McCain and a bipartisan group of senators to discuss legislation. During a visit to Mexico, McCain said there are "still a number of agreements" that need to be made, but that he is "guardedly optimistic" about reaching a deal by the end of next month. Both President Obama and the senators are weighing legislation that will provide a pathway to citizenship for most of the 11 million immigrants already in the U.S., tighten border security, and crack down on businesses employing illegal workers.
