Meghan Markle is going it alone on social media, ringing in the new year with a new account on Instagram, five years after filing her final joint post on the page she shared with Prince Harry, @sussexroyal. “Thank you to this community—for the support, the inspiration and the shared commitment to the good in the world. Harry & Meghan,” the couple wrote in their final post back in March 2020. She returned to the platform on Wednesday with the username @meghan, “to connect with fans around the world and share updates on her latest projects,” asUs Weekly reported. (Last March, Markle also registered an Instagram account for her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.) While her husband isn’t in front of the camera or on the grid just yet, he showed his support by filming the footage that features in his wife’s post, shot near their home in Montecito, California. It shows Markle, dressed all in white, running down a beach towards the ocean and stopping before the water’s edge to write “2025” with her finger in the sand. It has yielded some 200,000 followers and counting in just its first few hours online. Now, how about some jam?
