Meghan Markle got married last night—but it’s OK, you didn’t miss the royal wedding.
The marriage was on-screen and comprised her closing scene on the USA Network drama Suits, from which Meghan has now retired to spend more time with the British royal family.
In a bizarre piece of art meets life choreography, and who can blame the showrunners for being unable to resist, Meghan’s character Rachel Zane married her long time boyfriend Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams, who's also departing the show) in the two-hour series finale.

Suits fans will know that Rachel and Mike have in fact been engaged for some time, but the wedding in the show was dramatically moved forward in last night’s episode after Mike was offered a job in another town.
Obviously, the hasty rearrangement of the fictional wedding had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Meghan will be marrying Prince Harry in a little over three week’s time.
“I've wanted to marry you since the second I met you and I'm tired of waiting!” Mike told Rachel, who replied, “I'm so excited!”
“You're the husband I always wanted,” Rachel said, before a sequence in which the pair exchanged vows, kissed to the dulcet tones of John Legend and then walked off hand-in-hand as husband and wife.
It wasn’t exactly Windsor Castle, but it was quite some rehearsal.
The real wedding, on Saturday May 19, will be screened across TV networks around the world, as the royals are providing a 'pool' feed of the event, including the ceremony itself, which all broadcasters can plug into.
Americans will need to rise early to watch the celebrations live however, as it is scheduled to take place at noon local time which is 7am EST, and there will be several hours of coverage before then.
