'MALFEASANCE'

Meghan McCain flamed The View for not having a host who voted for Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. The daughter of the late senator John McCain called the absence of a conservative voice on the popular talk show “malfeasance” on the part of ABC, its network.

“It is actual malfeasance on the part of ABC news that there isn’t one single conservative woman on The View this morning who voted for Trump or simply isn’t repulsed by his supporters to explain to America why he is still so popular,” she wrote on X Wednesday.

McCain, a Republican herself, was a co-host on The View from 2017 to 2021 with Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines.

Upon her departure, she was replaced by Alyssa Farah Griffin, a fellow Republican and former member of the Trump administration in 2020.

Griffin, however, has been openly critical of Trump’s 2024 White House bid and ultimately voted for Kamala Harris in the presidential election, announcing her partisan shift during the show’s Election Day episode.

“For the first time in my life, I voted for a Democrat,” she Griffin told her left-leaning co-hosts. “I voted for Kamala Harris.”

And while McCain has also criticized the president-elect, she claimed she planned on not voting for either candidate.
