CHANGES

The move comes as NBC News declares war on its own star.

Megyn Kelly was left without a talent agent amid the fallout from her comments about blackface. The Hollywood Reporter first reported Wednesday evening that Kelly was leaving CAA, the agency that has represented her since 2015. The Daily Beast learned that Kelly was in talks with rival United Talent Agency, and as recently as Wednesday evening, sources close to her expected her to sign with the agency. A source with knowledge of the situation said that Jay Sures, the head of UTA, contacted CAA on Wednesday “to alert them that Megyn Kelly was leaving CAA due to CAA’s conflicts of interest with NBC News.” NBC News president Noah Oppenheim is also represented by CAA. But as the backlash continued Wednesday night, UTA said that it was not representing the NBC host. Kelly’s departure from the agency came on the same day that reports said NBC was ending her daily daytime talk show following her assertion that white people should be able to dress in blackface on Halloween.
