Former Fox News star Megyn Kelly—who this year left the right-leaning cable TV network for a high-dollar perch at NBC News, two months after accusing fired Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes, in her memoir, of sexually harassing her—used the third hour of the Today show Monday morning to go nuclear on her former employer, disgraced Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly, and Fox News communications chief Irena Briganti. “Irena Briganti is known for her vindictiveness,” Kelly told her Megyn Kelly Today studio audience. “To this day, she pushes negative articles on certain Ailes accusers, like the one you are looking at right now.” Later in the program, lawyer Doug Wigdor appeared with O’Reilly sexual-harassment accuser and former Fox News anchor Juliet Huddy and slammed the relatively unknown Briganti again for allegedly leaking the name of another sexual-harassment client suing the network, Scottie Nell Hughes, to the National Enquirer. Asked for comment, Briganti directed The Daily Beast to Fox News’ parent company, 21st Century Fox, which released a statement: “Irena is a valued colleague and she has our full support.”
