Melania Trump is scheduled to bring a three-week absence from the public eye to an end Monday. She will attend a private reception for Gold Star families, according to her spokeswoman, in what will be her first public appearance since being hospitalized last month. Trump underwent a kidney embolization at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on May 14 and hasn’t been seen in public since May 10. It was confirmed Sunday that she wouldn’t accompany her husband to the G-7 summit this week or the North Korea summit in Singapore later in the month. She responded to the speculation over her whereabouts with a tweet on May 30, writing: “I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I’m doing. Rest assured, I’m here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!”
