First lady Melania Trump will no longer be accompanying President Trump on his trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos this week. East Wing Communications Director Stephanie Grisham confirmed the change of plans to CNN late Monday, citing “scheduling and logistical issues.” The White House had initially said the first lady would be attending the annual meeting alongside her husband, who is due to depart for Switzerland later this week. Melania Trump has kept a low profile since a report by The Wall Street Journal this month alleged the president’s lawyer arranged a payment just before the 2016 election to cover up an affair he’d had with a porn star.
