Who could be more excited than a girl clutching some ‘Goosebumps’ books? Perhaps a seal spying some penguins? The classic ‘Ermahgerd!’ meme—phonetically pronounced ‘Oh my God!’—gets the animal treatment. This picture of a girl (later identified by Reddit as “Maggie”) who looks overjoyed to be in possession of some Goosebumps books initially surfaced on Reddit, where it inspired a slew of captions and edits involving the word “Ermahgerd,” which is phonetically pronounced “Oh my God.” This week, the amalgamated word has made its way to the Holy Grail of the Internet—animal photos. A white ferret (we think?) is excited about “wernter.” His “derp-y” grin of joy is apparent as he stumbles across the snow-laden landscape. Granted, this Tarsier’s eyes are probably always this wide, but he does look pretty excited to be hanging on to that branch. Cool down, Tarsier. It’s just a stick. This cute little bunny is about to nom-nom-nom on some “kerrets.” Ermahgerd! Paging the Milkbone advertising folks! Somebody superimposed an image of the Milkbones dog treats over a very excited...pug? What is that thing?! This seal can’t believe there are some penguins on this rocky beach. But he’s exciiiiiiiited! Lunch! Just ERMAHGERD.
