A 17-year-old U.S. citizen, convicted of torturing and beheading at least four people and kidnapping three others for a drug cartel in Mexico, has arrived in San Antonio after completing a three-year sentence for his crimes. Edgar Jimenez Lugo, known as “El Ponchis” or “The Cloak,” admitted to the killings in 2010—“I slit their throats"—but he claimed to have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol and said the cartel's leader threatened him. The boy was released to the care of an aunt and will continue therapy in the United States, according to Ana Virinia Perez Guemes, head of the group charged with his rehabilitation in Mexico. Guemes said they "saw results" but “cannot assure that it is a complete rehabilitation.”
