Michael Avenatti, lawyer for adult film star Stormy Daniels and 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful, wrote Tuesday on Twitter that he was one of alleged mail bomber Cesar Sayoc’s targets. “I was informed this afternoon by the FBI that I was targeted by Cesar Sayoc,” he wrote. “I applaud the hard working men and women of the FBI for his arrest and their continuing investigation. At some point, Trump will be held accountable for his role in the events of the last few weeks.” Sayoc allegedly sent explosive devices by mail to prominent Trump critics—including government officials and Democratic donors. Sayoc also allegedly had a list of more than 100 individuals he intended mail packages to.
