Michael Flynn on Friday morning confirmed that he is cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. In his first public statement after news broke that the special counsel will charge him with lying to the FBI, Flynn said, “I recognized that the actions I acknowledged in court today were wrong, and, through my faith in God, I am working to set things right.” He added: “My guilty plea and agreement to cooperate with the Special Counsel’s Office reflect a decision I made in the best interests of my family.” Flynn concluded: “I accept full responsibility for my actions.” Ty Cobb, President Trump’s lawyer, said on Friday, “Nothing about the guilty plea or the charge implicates anyone other than Mr. Flynn.”
