Michelle Malkin Goes After the ‘Ghost of John McCain’ at CPAC, Gets Ovation

GIVE UP THE GHOST

The remark was met with rapturous applause.

Right-wing pundit and author Michelle Malkin went after the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) during an overtly anti-immigration speech Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

“I have been accused of being a ‘grifter,’ but it's the GOP sellouts, not just the radical open borders left, that’s in bed with immigration saboteurs” she said in a typically fiery speech. “Like the ones who hijacked the tea party movement to shill for amnesty. Those are the real grifters. Cashing in and practicing deceit at the expense of their base and at the expense of our country,” she said.

“E-verify has been stalled. Sanctuary cities have metastasized, and both parties are to blame. And yes, I’m looking at you, retired Paul Ryan. And yes, I’m looking at you, Mitch McConnell! And yes, I’m looking at you, Bush family!” she said before a brief pause, and then pointing up to the roof, added: “And yes, I’m looking at you, the ghost of John McCain!” The remarks were met with applause and a standing ovation.
