Former first lady Michelle Obama will compete against former first lady Melania Trump on the book charts when she releases the sequel to The Light We Carry in December. On Instagram, Obama announced OVERCOMING: A Workbook, published by Crown Publishing Group, as a guide for helping readers “unlock your power” with “thoughtful activities, reflective writing prompts, and habit tracking tools.” According to Obama, the book is also designed to help readers “show up in your relationships, and share your whole self with others.” She added, “I can’t wait to hear what you think of it!” On Sept. 24, Trump will release her debut memoir, Melania. The book is being promoted as “a powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has carved her own path,” but there has been speculation over how Trump’s story will be told after she was seemingly caught plagiarizing a speech from Obama.
