Michelle Obama to Cameo on 'iCarly'

Barack Obama may have captured the youth vote in 2008, but his wife is poised to win the hearts of the nation’s tweens. Michelle Obama will appear on an episode of the Nickelodeon show iCarly likely to air in January. The first lady’s appearance will try to encourage support for the families of members of the armed forces serving overseas—a plot that dovetails neatly with the show, whose protagonist, Carly Shay, is the daughter of a colonel serving abroad. Nick president Cyma Zarghami said the episode was written especially for Obama after she approached the show about a collaboration. Her daughters, Sasha and Malia, are said to be fans of iCarly.
