Michelle Williams and Octavia Spencer took home trophies in Sunday night's Golden Globes. Williams won Best Actress in a Comedy for My Week With Marilyn, beating out heavy-hitters such as Bridesmaids’ Kristen Wiig, Carnage’s Jodie Foster and Young Adult’s Charlize Theron. Williams followed in the footsteps of Marilyn Monroe herself, who won a Golden Globe in 1958 for Some Like It Hot. While Williams beat out Kate Winslet in Carnage, Winslet had already snagged a trophy for Mildred Pierce. The Help's Octavia Spencer took away the prize for Best Supporting Actress in film. Game of Thrones took home its first award as Peter Dinklage won for Best Actor on television. Kelsey Grammer, who recently announced the news that his wife is pregnant, won an early surprise victory by taking home the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Drama for his role in Boss.
