A Michigan man who allegedly traveled overseas to provide material support to ISIS has been detained by Syrian Democratic Forces and sent back to the U.S., according to a Justice Department release. Ibraheem Izzy Musaibli, a 28-year-old from Dearborn, is charged with knowingly providing “personnel and services” to the terrorist group. Officials also allege that he was providing support to ISIS while U.S. forces were fighting the group, and that his efforts cause may have posed a threat to the lives of “countless” people. “The indictment alleges that, for a substantial period of time, defendant Musaibli provided material support to ISIS,” said United States Attorney Matthew Schneider. “We will vigorously prosecute anyone who provides, or even attempts to provide, support to terrorists.”
