Mandy Moore has hit back at followers who criticized her after sharing a GoFundMe for her in-laws who lost their home in the L.A. fires.
Moore, who has an estimated net worth of $14 million, received harsh comments after posting a GoFundMe for her relatives.
The actress and singer ended up responding to the criticisms in her post, telling followers: âkindly F OFF.â
âPeople questioning whether weâre helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic,â she wrote on her post. âOf course we are. Our buddy Matt started this go fund me and Iâm sharing because people have asked how they can help them.â
The GoFundMe, set up for her in-laws who lost their home as they expect their first baby in a few weeks, raised over $158,000 of the $175,000 goal. Commenters questioned why the actress couldnât just donate to them herself.
âPretty sure Mandy has boatloads more money than everyone donating to her family. Ridiculous,â one commenter wrote on the post.
âIs anyone actually donating to help normal folks or just donating to help celebrities and their families,â another follower posted.

Moore, whose house was also damaged in the fire, finished off her message: âWe just lost most of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. no one is forcing you to do anything.â
Her Altadena house, which she shares with husband Taylor Goldsmith, was still standing but unlivable, according to Moore.
Many were quick to support the star during a time of devastating losses across Los Angeles.
âThese comments are horrifying,â a user wrote. âThank you for sharing what we can do to help!â
âWhat is with the lack of compassion,â another commented. âEveryone in these areas lost everything including Mandy.â
