Mitch McConnell Heads to Inpatient Rehab After Serious Fall

The leading Senate Republican has been discharged after suffering a concussion and a minor rib fracture from a fall last week.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was discharged from the hospital Monday, his communications director said in a statement. The leading Senate Republican fell last week at a hotel dinner and was hospitalized for a concussion. He also suffered a minor rib fracture, according to the statement. “At the advice of his physician, the next step will be a period of physical therapy at an inpatient rehabilitation facility before he returns home,” the statement reads.
