That’s contrary to an earlier report published in The Daily Beast, which relied on multiple sources close to Romney indicating that the former Massachusetts governor was about to launch a third campaign for the White House. “After putting considerable thought into making another run for president, I’ve decided it is best to give other leaders in the party the opportunity to become our next nominee,” Romney said, according to prepared remarks delivered on the call.
