Actress Molly Shannon on Sunday shared a moving tribute to director Jeff Baena after his death at the age of 47. The actress, who appeared in Baena’s films The Little Hours and Life After Beth, posted a series of sweet snaps of her and Baena captioned with a broken-heart emoji. Some of the images feature Baena’s wife, actress Aubrey Plaza, whom he wed in 2021. The Miami-born filmmaker was found dead Friday morning by his assistant at the couple’s Los Angeles-area home, TMZ reported. Emergency services were called to the home around 10:30 a.m., and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are treating his death as a suicide. Plaza has not commented on his death.
