Mom Yells in Court at Nanny Who Killed Her Kids: ‘You’re Evil’

Marina Krim was overcome with grief and anger as she wrapped up seven hours of testimony on Friday at the murder trial of her former nanny, Yoselyn Ortega, who strangled her two children to death at the family’s New York City apartment in 2012. “You’re evil and you like this. You love this. You’re getting pleasure from this,” the mom screamed as she left the Manhattan courtroom. Under redirect, Krim began sobbing and hyperventilating after describing how Ortega showed no emotion when she revealed she’d had a miscarriage in 2012. “She’s a narcissist,” she said, before repeatedly screaming into the microphone, “It’s all about money!” As a court officer escorted her out of the courtroom, Krim told defense attorney Valerie Van Leer-Greenberg: “You’re evil!” In 2012, Krim found her two children dead in a bathtub with stab wounds. Ortega had also stabbed herself and was covered in blood.
