Texas officials on Tuesday released more footage of Sandra Bland before her death in an effort to quash rumors that she was already deceased before her mugshot was taken. The additional several hours of footage also follows reports of online death threats made to local officials, according to Waller County Judge Trey Duhon. The 28-year-old black Illinois native was found hanging by a garbage bag in her cell this month, three days after she was arrested during a routine traffic stop. An autopsy ruled the death a suicide. “This video should demonstrate that people who are out there going through a lot of trouble to spread lies and mistruths on Waller County,” Duhon said. “We are not going to stand idly by and allow that to happen.”
