Michael Avenatti, the lawyer representing Stephanie Clifford—the porn star who goes by the stage name Stormy Daniels—said Wednesday that multiple women have reached out to him inquiring about potential legal action against President Donald Trump. Avenatti did not mention the nature of the legal action that the women were exploring, and did not say if it was related to allegations of sexual misconduct. He also did not disclose if any of Trump’s previous accusers had contacted him. Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen orchestrated a $130,000 “hush” payment and a non-disclosure agreement with Daniels just before the 2016 election in order to keep her silent about an alleged affair with Trump.
