Morrissey was swept off stage by a group of concert-goers at a gig in San Diego late Saturday and attacked by one man who apparently hit him in the face, TMZ reports. The singer was about to do an encore when the incident occurred, and he did not make it back on stage at the San Diego Symphony Hall. The man who hit him was dragged off the stage, and it was not immediately clear if he was facing charges. No information was available on whether Morrissey was injured.
