A memo sent to employees of YouTube’s biggest channel has been leaked to the Associated Press, revealing a number of changes MrBeast intends to implement after “allegations of inappropriate behavior by people in the company,” it said. A full assessment of the culture within the walls of the online video empire was announced to “Team Beast” employees, according to the confidential memo sent Wednesday. It also detailed new additions, including plans to hire a human resources officer, as well as company-wide sensitivity training. The move comes as MrBeast–aka Jimmy Donaldson–confirmed his knowledge of allegations facing a longtime collaborator, adding he was “disgusted and opposed to such unacceptable acts.” In the memo, according to AP, Donaldson wrote, “As your leader, I take responsibility, and I am committed to continue to improve and evolve my leadership style. I recognize that I also need to create a culture that makes all our employees feel safe and allows them to do their best work.” A spokesperson for the company confirmed the memo was sent. Donaldson himself has faced heat after admitting to previously using “inappropriate language,” including racist and homophobic rhetoric.
