Former RNC Chair Michael Steele Erupts On-Air: To Hell With Republicans!

MSNBC host Michael Steele rebuked Republicans in a fiery Saturday morning monologue in which he alleged that President Donald Trump has given DOGE director Elon Musk “absolute power.”

Addressing co-hosts Alicia Menendez and Symone Sanders Townsend on The Weekend, Steele blew his top as they discussed whether the judicial system could rein in Trump’s power and help Democrats fight back.

Townsend, a Democratic strategist, asked Steele, “What would you have us do?”

“I would like you to show that you give a damn!” Steele abruptly shot back.

Railing against Trump for having effectively “given absolute power” to Musk, he said, “I’d just like to see somebody wake the hell up and get excited about the fact that your country is under assault!”

Steele added, “They’re not at the gate anymore, they’re in your bedrooms, they’re in your living rooms, they’re in your businesses… They got your data, dumba--es, they got all your stuff.”

Continuing, Steele said that he would like “somebody to show that they care enough to get off their fat a-- and say something about it.”

Menendez said that Republican officials who have stayed quiet would be equally culpable.

Steele blasted back, “The hell with Republicans! They’re not going to do anything, they’re the problem!”
