Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow and a friend of Donald Trump’s, confirmed to The Daily Beast that he will attend an event at the White House on Wednesday to discuss the opioids crisis. He said President Trump is also expected to attend the discussion.

Lindell, who calls Trump the “greatest president in American history,” said that the staff of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway invited him. Lindell is a former crack cocaine addict, and said that when he first met Trump in August 2015 that he talked to the then future president about his struggles with addiction and his path to recovery and business success. “Wow, that’s amazing,” Trump, who says he’s never done illicit drugs or drank, responded, according to Lindell.

Conway told The Daily Beast on Tuesday that the president “will sign Bipartisan legislation passed 98-1 in [the] U.S. Senate the same week as [the Brett] Kavanaugh vote virtually on party lines. Mike Lindell is one of 20 private sector entities announcing an offer to America [with regards to] opioids and drugs tomorrow.”
