House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is vowing to stay put as Democratic leader, despite some in her party saying it’s time for new leadership. If Democrats retake control of the House after the midterm elections later this year, Pelosi said she will run for speaker. “We will win. I will run for speaker. I feel confident about it. And my members do, too,” she told The Boston Globe. “It’s important that it not be five white guys at the table, no offense,” she added, referring to the top five congressional leaders of both parties.
