NASA on Wednesday launched the planet-hunting spacecraft Tess, which aims to search for evidence of life on other planets. The SpaceX Falcon rocket, which powered Tess into space, was launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, two days after the mission was temporarily halted. The spacecraft is carrying the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS), which scientists believe will identify thousands of planets.
