This seems slightly implausible. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver says he would prefer not to force out Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, and instead let him sell his team soon. Sterling has owned the team for 33 years, and has recently come under fire for racist remarks he made during a leaked phone conversation. The NBA Board of Governors will vote June 3 to strip him of ownership. “It is their team to sell, and so he knows what the league’s point of view is, and so I’m sure if he wanted to sell the team on some reasonable timetable, I’d prefer he sell it than we go through this process,” Silver said at a press conference on Tuesday.
