Nebraska lawmakers have voted to repeal the state’s death penalty. Gov. Pete Ricketts has said he will veto the measure, but the state legislature is expected to override the veto next week. Legislative Bill 268 passed by a vote of 32-15 on Wednesday and works to replace lethal injection with a life-term maximum prison sentence.
