A report revealed Tuesday that PGA Tour golfer Grayson Murray, who reportedly died by suicide Saturday after he withdrew from a tournament in Texas, may have taken his own life by leaving his Land Rover running in the closed garage of his Florida home while he remained inside. Murray, 30, died from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, the Daily Mail reported, citing a neighbor from his Palm Beach Gardens neighborhood. That neighbor, who wasn’t named, told the outlet that he heard an engine revving around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. Not long after, a carbon monoxide alarm began blaring from Murray’s home and police were dispatched, reportedly finding him lying dead in the home’s master bedroom, the Mail reported. Murray had long been open about his battles with alcohol and mental illness in the past, and his family confirmed Sunday that he died by suicide. Florida cops told the Daily Mail that they’re conducting an investigation into the matter, but did not confirm Murray’s cause of death. Neighbors told the British tabloid that Murray’s fiancée, Christiana Ritchie, was not home at the time of the incident.
