Newt Gingrich stepped out to address supporters at his Georgia headquarters after winning the state’s primary. Gingrich made his entrance to the song “Real American,” Hulk Hogan’s theme music and the same song President Obama jokingly walked out to after releasing his birth certificate. After reviewing the Republican candidates who have come and gone, including Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Godfather’s Pizza CEO Herman Cain, Gingrich compared them all to hares. And he’s “the tortoise,” he said, referencing poll numbers as the one who has stuck around in the race the longest with frontrunners Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum. Newt reiterated his claim that he is the only candidate who can take on Obama in a debate.
