Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari said on Saturday that Boko Haram has been driven out of its last stronghold in the country, also known as Camp Zero. Buhari said "gallant troops" drove out the insurgents from the area in the Sambisa Forest, the same place that many believe holds the more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by insurgents in 2014. Buhari, during Saturday's announcement, asked the nation's troops to increase their efforts "to locate and free our remaining Chibok girls still in captivity." The group has killed at least 15,000 people during its seven-year insurgency. Buhari called Friday's victory the "final crushing of Boko Haram terrorists."
