Scott Blumstein of New Jersey won this year’s World Series of Poker championship in Las Vegas, defeating Pennsylvania’s Daniel Ott to win $8.1 million. The final table reached 246 hands, and Blumstein and Ott went head-to-head on more than 60 of them. “I'm really happy with the result, really happy with the deuce because I was playing good, but I'm pretty tired of poker at this point honestly, and to have to go back and battle pretty deep again, I wasn't looking forward to it,” said Blumstein, 25. Ott came away with a $4.7 million award. Both men had never played at the main event before this year.
